Nokia Dive into Multi SIM Card Market

In recent years mobile phone with two SIM slots or RUIM become popular in the market. The manufacturer is generally the Asian vendor China. Even now the trend has been to 3 or even 4 card slots inside a cellular phone.

Recently, Nokia, one of the world's major mobile phone manufacturers finally were moved to jump into that market. Rather than simply following the trend or confiscate the fortune Asian manufacturers who had already been struggling in a multi SIM segment, Nokia taken this step after getting feedback from their users.

Nokia may seem late compared with other manufacturers in presenting the dual SIM phones. As an initial strategy, there are two models of Nokia multi-SIM mobile phone provided. Both phones are Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00. Both phones is the first product of the Nokia Swap.

Dual SIM feature in both phones are designed to facilitate users. For example the SIM card manager feature that lets users set up a special SIM card which is used for telephone or SMS, and SIM card which is used for data, or vice versa.

The second SIM card is also inserted through a slot in the side of the phone. Thus, users can directly install or remove the SIM card without turning the phone off first. SIM card is installed is also immediately detected and can be used (plug and play).
